All athletes, coaches, and officials must be registered/certified with USA Boxing to participate in this event. Athletes, coaches, and officials must present their passbook at the weigh-in.
NO BOOK – NO BOX – NO EXCEPTIONS
All participants are bound by USA Boxing’s rules and regulations, Golden Gloves of America’s rules and regulations, and USA Boxing and Golden Gloves Codes of Conduct. Failure to comply with rules and regulations will result in denial of participation.
This is Team South Carolina’s selection tournament. Winners of the Elite tournament are selected to represent Team South Carolina at the Southeast Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions. Therefore, this tournament is for South Carolina residents, South Carolina students, or military personnel stationed in South Carolina. Also junior and youth boxers will be eligible to compete in the tournament.
Male and female tournament winners between the ages of 18 and 40 in the Elite tournament with a minimum of 10 bouts will advance to the Southeast Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions. Anyone with less than 10 fights who wins does not advance. Junior and youth boxers do not advance.
All boxers must be 18 years old to enter the advancing tournament.
Elite Golden Gloves: 18-40 years old
Junior Golden Gloves: 15,16 years old
Youth Golden Gloves: 17,18 years old
Masters Golden Gloves: 35+ years old. If you are 35-40 years old, you must select either Elite or Masters Golden Gloves—you cannot compete in both. Masters boxers must have a Masters Passbook from USA Boxing.
The Southeast Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions is one of the most competitive regional tournaments in the country you can only attend the Southeast Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions by winning and having at least 10+ bouts. No walk-overs will advance.
The weigh-ins Thursday, Friday, & Saturday are from 10am – 12pm (noon) at Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium.
Any color mouthpiece is now acceptable.
USA Boxing approved open-face headgear required.
The Southeast Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions and the National Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions require USA Boxing approved open-face headgear.
